Field of view: 10 mm. Richterite assocaited with rhodonite. The short dark green prisms exhibiting perfect cleavage in a direction are richterite. The surrounding pink parts are rhodonite, and the transparent grains are quartz. Richterite, rhodonite, and quartz form a unclear band structure.
Recovered from a bedded manganese deposit in pelitic schist subjected to Amphibolite facies regional metamorphism and contact metamorphism by granodiorite.
Richterite from this location was described in 1961.
