Phillipsite-Ca
Hattanda, Yoshimi city, Hiki county, Saitama pref., Japan
Field of view: 10 mm. A crystal of phillipsite-Ca-Harmotome. The quadrangular transparent prism is phillipsite-Ca and a part of crystals has the chemical composition of harmotome. The termination of the prism is composed of 4 pyramidal faces. The transparent grains on the basement are fine prisms of phillipsite-Ca.
Recovered from an open space of a zeolite vein in sedimentary rocks subjected to Greenschist facies metamorphism.
Phillipsite-Ca from this location was described in 2005.
