Imogolite
Shimo-Ishikawa, Kanuma city, Tochigi pref., Japan
Diameter of upper grain: 10 mm. Imogolite in weathered pumice. Imogolite is very fine bundled tubes associated with allophane. It is too small to observe optically.
Imogolite from this location was described in 1966.
