Field of view: 30 mm. A sponge-like group of hastingsite. The acicular dark green crystals are hastingsite.
Recovered from skarn formed by contact metamorphism of S-type (Ilmenite-series) diorite. Formed in the late Miocene (11 Ma).
Hastingsite from this location was described in 1982.
