Field of view: 50 mm. Galena associated with chalcopyrite. The dark gray parts exhibiting perfect cleavage are galena. The yellow massive grains are chalcopyrite.
Recovered from a quartz vein of a moderate-low-temperature hydrothermal deposit in I-type (Magnetite-series) granite. Formed in the late Miocene (10 Ma).
Galena from this location was described in 1963.
