Field of view: 5 mm. A group of chalcocite. The hexagonal tabular crystals with a metallic luster are chalcocite. The massive dark brown host is mudstone.
Recovered from a sediment-hosted copper deposit. Formed in the middle Miocene (14 Ma).
Chalcocite from this location was described in 1956.
