Field of view: 10 mm. Celsian(?) associated with rhodonite. It exhibits rainbow-like iridescence in a specific direction of the crystal. The surrounding massive pink host is aggregate of fine rhodonite and quartz crystals.
Recovered from a bedded manganese deposit in pelitic schist subjected to Amphibolite facies regional metamorphism and contact metamorphism by granodiorite.
Celsian from this location was described in 1985.
