Field of view: 5mm. Beaverite-(Cu) in an open space of a quartz vein. The earthy yellowish-brown parts are aggregate of fine beaverite-(Cu) crystals. The white host is gangue quartz.
Recovered from an open space of a quartz vein in a meteoric oxidation zone of a moderate-temperature hydrothermal deposit associated with rhyolite.
Beaverite-(Cu) from this location was described in 2003.
