Apophyllite-(KF)

Shiraki village, Toba city, Mie pref., Japan

Field of view: 5 mm. Translucent white grains of apophyllite-(KF) in an open space of a white vein in a rodingite block. The pale brown basement is rodingite.

Recovered from an open space of rodingite in serpentinite subjected to Greenschist facies metamorphism.

Apophyllite-(KF) from this location was described in 1997.
