Locations

Bay windows or indoor places which have good exposure of to sunlight. They are placed where the wind from air conditioner heater is avoided and the temperature does not decrease if at all possible. Closes thick curtains during the night.

Light

Foliages are placed in the sun near windows as light as we can. Room lights are on during the daytime.

Water spraying

Water is sprayed everyday in the daytime during the room temperature is high enough, more than 10 ℃, for example. Water is sprayed until they get soaking wet.

Soaking

Foliages are dipped every week in the daytime in pooled water using washtubs and buckets for 3 - 4 hours. Soaking longer than 6 hours may cause serious trouble and must be avoided. Foliages are taken out of the water in the afternoon, and dry them completely by draft from an electric fan for a while. Foliages are seriously damaged by freezing in case wet foliages are placed at a temperature below 0℃.
