Left: Mexico form, Upper right: Guatemala form, Lower right: Ecuador form. The foliage of Mexico form is smaller with shorter and thick leaves. Many offsets grow to form a clump. The foliage of Guatemala form is larger with longer and thin leaves. The foliage of Ecuador form is smaller with shorter and rigid leaves. Leaves covered with thick trichomes show a metalic luster.
