Tillandsia ferrisiana L. B. Smith (1960)

[ Etymology ] Ms. Roxana Stinchfield Ferris (1895 - 1978), who collected the first specimen of this species

A small plant having rigid and long twisted leaves.
The plant resembles Tillandsia schiedeana but the petals of Tillandsia ferrisiana are pink. The scape is shorter, and the floral bracts and sepals are covered with trichomes.
