- Sedimentary facies: Delta front, Prodelta
- Sedimentary facies: Turbidite
- Lithofacies: Interbedded shale and sandstone
- Sedimentary structures: Cross stratification, Convolute lamination, Graded bedding, Sole marks, Dish structures
- Thickness: 550 - 650 m
- Lower limit: Bottom of the horizon composed of 10 - 30 m thick medium sandstone and well foliaged shale
- Lower limit: Transitional (Kozumi Shale Member)
