Tectosilicate

SiO₄ tetrahedrons share all oxgens at corners each other and form 3 dimensional framework.

[SiO₂]⁰

SiO₂ is neutral by sharing all oxgens in SiO₄ tetrahedron. So, pure "tecto"silicate is oxide from strict point of view and it may not be able to form salt.

It can act as anion when a part of Si⁴⁺ is substituted by Al³⁺, B³⁺ and others.
