Manganese nodule
Mn-oxide nodules formed by weathering and diagenesis of limestone in subtropical to tropical climates. These manganese noduldes are different from ocean-floor manganese nodules formed under water. Manganese nodules from the Okinawa island are mixtures of such minerals as Quartz, Lithiophorite, Goethite, and Akhtenskite.
