Rhodonite

Length: 5 mm. A rhodonite crystal. The left side is the termination. The crystal exhibits triclinic habit.

Recovered from a chert-hosted bedded manganese deposit subjected to Hornblende-hornfels facies contact metamorphism.

Rhodonite from this location was described in 1965.
