This is a list of locations where the mineral described as pyroxene was reported. c and o indicate clinopyroxene and orthopyroxene, respectively. Lists of specific species of pyroxene group are summaried in pages of those minerals.

Pyroxenes are also included in volcanic, plutonic, and metasomatic and metamorphic rocks as a minor component.
